Can anyone take a Food Intolerance Test? Print

We have a short quiz to check on whether or not the test is suitable for you; we will only ship a kit to you if we believe food intolerance testing is appropriate for you.  Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not do a food intolerance test.  IgG antibodies can cross the placenta and can also enter breast milk.  This means there can be a mingling of baby's and mother's antibodies, so it would be impossible to determine the real reactions for either mom or child.  We also cannot perform a food intolerance test on anyone with a blood borne viral infection such as hepatitis or HIV.   People who are on immune system suppressing drugs should not test, as any suppression of the immune system will also suppress the IgG antibodies we want to measure.

Note that residents of New York State cannot order lab tests from Allergysmarts and that California residents require an order from a health professional in order to receive a kit.
