  1. 1) Start a food diary

    Write down all the foods you eat for 1 whole week.  Include snacks and restaurant food.

2) Eliminate foods that commonly cause reactions

   The most common food intolerances are:

  • dairy
  • soy
  • egg whites
  • wheat
  • citrus fruits
  • kiwi fruit
  • nuts

  2. 3)  Learning how to avoid potential food reactions
    It takes a minimum of 100 days for all of the IgG antibodies to a particular food to be eliminated from the body.  This means you need to stay off suspected food allergens for at least 3 months.  After 3 months, you can reintroduce those foods – one food a week  - carefully observing your reactions during that time.  If you have new or returning symptoms after reintroducing the food, you may need to eliminate this food from your diet for a longer period of time.  If you have to avoid an entire food group like dairy products, it is important to work with a nutritionist to make sure you get the nutrients the eliminated food(s) provides from some other
